Sales Representative Trainee Program Candidate

Headquartered in Milford, Connecticut, Somerset Capital Group has financed equipment for mid-sized and large companies since 1984. Operating across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, Somerset handles transactions ranging from under $100,000 to more than $25 million. Its “beyond finance” model combines equipment financing with asset management, equipment sales, and disposal expertise, including specialized markets such as aviation ground equipment.

Program Overview

This two-year development program prepares a professional with some sales experience to build a career in equipment finance origination. Participants gain broad exposure to Somerset’s business, then work closely with an accomplished Senior Sales Representative on prospecting, business development, and customer management.

The program grew from Somerset’s longstanding practice of pairing early-career sales professionals with industry veterans. Several current members of Somerset’s 15-person sales organization began as interns or trainees, and the program has produced approximately six active sales team members. Somerset is now seeking to broaden the range of talent and perspectives represented on its sales team and welcomes qualified candidates.
