Job Description: Lead and Mentor (player/coach)

Our client, one of the largest independent equipment leasing firms in the U.S. designs and delivers creative private-credit solutions to mid-sized and large companies in a variety of industry verticals. Continued growth and demand for their services requires the need for a highly detail-oriented professional to set the bar for documentation quality, speed and to coach and supervise a team of 4+in hiring, goal-setting, feedback and development plans.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Own Transactions-draft, redline and negotiate equipment lease/loan documents, vendor agreement and third-party contracts; coordinate with in-house counsel.
  • Be a deal advisor- partner early on with Sales/Credit/Syndications to best represent documentation to create and craft workable paths for unconventional collateral and projects.
  • Represent documentation in customer, vendor and debt source negotiations.
  • Raise the operational bar to ensure compliance and consistency across all departments.

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • 7+ Years in equipment leasing/finance documentation and funding ; VP/Director experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proven player/coach experience in hiring, developing and mentoring direct reports while personally managing complex closings in a fast-paced environment.
  • Track record building/leading high-performance teams while personally managing complex closings.
  • CLFP a plus; JD/paralegal experience helpful but not required.
