Fortune and Great Place to Work have selected First American Equipment Finance for the 2026 Best Workplaces in Financial Services & Insurance list, ranking it No. 3 among companies with fewer than 1,000 full-time equivalent employees. It is the company’s 10th time on the list.

The list is based on analysis of survey responses from more than 194,000 employees at Great Place To Work Certified companies in the financial services and insurance industries. In the survey, 98% of employees at First American said it is a great place to work, compared with 57% of employees at a typical U.S.-based company.

Great Place To Work determines its lists using its platform to evaluate and certify organizations in what it describes as America’s largest ongoing annual workforce study, based on more than 1.3 million survey responses and data from companies representing more than 7.3 million employees this year. Honorees were selected based on their ability to offer positive outcomes for employees regardless of job role, work status or other demographic identifier.

“This recognition is a reflection of our team’s hard work and commitment to one another,” Alan Sikora, CEO of First American, said. “I am inspired each day by how they deliver for our clients and show up for our community.”

In 2026, Fortune and Great Place to Work ranked First American as the No. 1 Best Workplace in New York and the No. 6 Best Medium Workplace nationwide (10-999 FTE). Energage named the company the No. 1 Top Midsize Workplace in Rochester (125-399 FTE). USA Today and Energage ranked it No. 5 nationwide in the 150-499 FTE category on the Top Workplaces USA list. Best Companies Group named it the No. 1 Best Company to Work for in New York (250+ FTE). Selling Power named it among the 60 Best Companies to Sell For in 2026.

In 2025, Fortune and Great Place to Work ranked First American as a Best Workplace for Parents. The company also was recognized on the 2024 PEOPLE Companies That Care list.
