Aircraft shipments and billings increased across all categories in the first quarter of 2025, according to the General Aviation Manufacturers Association’s (GAMA) latest report released Thursday.
Compared to the same period in 2024, shipments of piston airplanes rose 19.3% to 353 units, turboprops climbed 23.1% to 133 units, and business jets were up 11% to 141 units. Overall airplane deliveries totaled 627 aircraft, up 18.1% from the previous year, with a total value of $5.04 billion — a 25.7% increase.
Helicopter shipments also saw modest growth. Piston helicopter deliveries increased 1.9% to 54 units, while turbine helicopter shipments rose 1.5% to 133 units. The total value of helicopter deliveries reached $769 million, up 12.4% from the first quarter of 2024.
