Huntington National Bank is expanding its commercial banking services into Florida as part of its broader national growth strategy, the bank announced Thursday.
To lead the new Florida operation, Huntington has hired Josh Sheradsky as Senior Managing Director. Sheradsky, a veteran middle-market banker with 16 years of experience in the state, will head a team based in Fort Lauderdale. Joining him is Monica Olsen, who has 15 years of commercial banking experience and will serve as senior executive relationship manager.
The move is the latest in a series of regional expansions by Huntington Commercial Bank, which has recently established a presence in North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas. The bank has also added new verticals, including Fund Finance, Native American Financial Services, Mortgage Servicing Lending and Deposits, Financial Institutions Group, and Aerospace & Defense.
“We’re well-positioned to meet the complex needs of a diverse range of companies in one of the fastest-growing markets in the nation,” said Scott Kleinman, president of Huntington Commercial Bank.
Huntington’s middle-market banking unit offers a comprehensive suite of services, including lending, liquidity management, treasury management, payments, and capital markets support. The commercial banking team also works closely with Capstone Partners, Huntington’s investment banking and advisory firm, as well as with Huntington Private Bank, which has an office in Naples.
Founded in 1866 and headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, Huntington Bancshares Inc. is a $210 billion asset bank holding company operating more than 960 branches in 13 states.
