NationaLease announced the regional winners of its 16th annual Tech Challenge written exam, with 10 technicians advancing to the hands-on competition.
The exam, held March 11, included more than 340 technicians across the United States and Canada. The top scorer in each of nine regions, along with the next-highest overall scorer, will compete in the next phase.
This year marked the strongest showing by female technicians in the competition’s history. Cassady Breazzeal of Carco NationaLease, winner of Region 8, became the first woman to qualify for the hands-on competition.
The finalists will compete May 12 at the 2026 NationaLease Maintenance Managers Meeting in Chicago for the title of Top Tech.
Winners include:

- Region 3: Eric Maynard, Aim NationaLease
- Region 4: Brian Climes, Hogan Truck Leasing, Inc., a NationaLease Member
- Region 5: Jeremy Clark, Truckway NationaLease
- Region 5: Carl Diehl, Hogan Truck Leasing, Inc., a NationaLease Member
- Region 6: Darren Sapp, Kirk NationaLease
- Region 7: Wade Murphy-Price, Airoldi Brothers NationaLease
- Region 8: Cassady Breazzeal, Carco NationaLease
- Region 9: John Norwood, Aim NationaLease
