More than $6 million worth of surplus battery manufacturing equipment will be sold in an online auction closing April 29, Tiger Group announced.
The 74 lots of machinery — many of them unused — come from a California battery manufacturer’s advanced operations and include production, testing, quality control and packaging gear.
“These well-maintained assets can be employed to make an impressive array of products, including grid and residential energy-storage systems as well as batteries for everything from tiny consumer electronics to massive cruise liners and cargo ships,” said John Coelho, senior director of Tiger Commercial & Industrial. “It’s a great opportunity for virtually any battery manufacturer to find production and lab equipment at a good price.”
The timed auction opens for bidding April 22 at SoldTiger.com and closes April 29 at 10:30 a.m. Pacific time.
Equipment up for bid includes a Koem automatic lithium-ion battery winding machine, an Avins Manufacturing freeze-dryer, and an ATC crimp, fill and welding machine. Other brands represented include Hibar, Media Tech, Eirich, Buhler, EnergyTech, RheoSense, AquaClear, Gelon and Beckman Coulter.
