First Citizens Bank appointed Jon L. Brown as its new director, business development officer, capital equipment finance, according to a LinkedIn post from Brown. In this role, he will cover the southwest, including Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas.

Previously, Brown was vice president, capital markets at Umpqua Bank; vice president at Mitsubishi HC Capital America; and commercial sales leader at Western Alliance Bank. He also spent 20 years with GE Capital in various vice president roles, including regional sales manager, business/dealer development and senior relationship manager.
