Penske Truck Leasing unveiled an upgraded version of its Catalyst AI platform Monday, introducing new tools designed to give fleet operators deeper, real-time insights and improve operational efficiency across their networks.
Built in-house, Catalyst AI now processes more than 100 billion data points annually and runs over 300 models in real time. The platform’s latest enhancements include vehicle- and hub-level comparisons, personalized performance benchmarking, and a new “Fantasy Fleet” feature that allows users to evaluate vehicles against top performers with similar profiles.
“The new release marks a next chapter for Catalyst AI—one that makes complex data more usable, more scalable, and more actionable,” said Art Vallely, president of Penske Truck Leasing.
According to Penske’s 2025 Transportation Leaders Survey, 93% of industry leaders believe AI can boost resiliency, but 84% say the sector still lags in adoption. Respondents cited maintenance costs, fuel pricing trends, and utilization as top data priorities.
Catalyst AI is embedded within Penske’s Fleet Insight® platform. A new premium plan offers expanded benchmarking features with a free 30-day trial. Comparative Insights at the fleet level remains available to Penske customers at no cost.
Penske Truck Leasing, based in Reading, Pennsylvania, operates more than 419,000 vehicles and serves customers through over 2,200 rental locations and nearly 1,000 maintenance facilities across North America.
