Carolina Patiño is redefining how data, technology and human insight intersect in the equipment finance industry. With over a decade of experience using analytics to solve complex business challenges, she has emerged as a dynamic innovator — someone equally fluent in technical precision and client empathy. Today, as Product Manager at Kin Analytics, Patiño leads transformative product development initiatives that are reshaping how lenders approach underwriting, automation and decision-making.
Patiño’s journey into equipment finance began at Kin Analytics, where her analytical expertise and curiosity quickly propelled her from technical roles into client-facing leadership positions. Her early work as a Project and Account Manager gave her a deep understanding of the industry’s operational realities and credit processes. She collaborated with lenders to design and implement data-driven credit scoring models that reduced risk, improved automation and helped clients make faster, more accurate credit decisions. Each project reflected her guiding philosophy — bridging the gap between data science and business goals to deliver solutions that are not only powerful but practical and easy to use.
At the beginning of this year, Patiño took on a new challenge that marked a major turning point in her career: leading product development at Kin Analytics. As Product Manager, she is now at the forefront of innovation, building tools that leverage technology and artificial intelligence to streamline credit origination. One of her most notable achievements has been leading the creation of a product that automates credit application submissions, a historically manual and time-consuming process for lenders.
Through her leadership and close collaboration with clients, Patiño ensured the product was intuitive, user-friendly and impactful. The results speak for themselves, reducing application submission times from inbox to CRM by 80%. This breakthrough has improved efficiency across organizations, allowing credit analysts to focus more on analysis and less on data entry. Her ability to connect operational pain points to elegant, technology-driven solutions has positioned her as a leader whose influence reaches far beyond software development.
“Carolina stands out in our industry due to her unique blend of technical knowledge and hands-on expertise, which enables her to translate customer needs into high-impact solutions,” says Patricio Pazmiño, Chief Product Officer at Kin Analytics. “For instance, over the last six months, she immersed herself with operations teams from several lenders to automate document processing and data intake using AI. Both our customers and team have greatly benefited from her skill in converting business challenges into effective technical innovations.”
Patiño’s mission extends beyond building products — it’s about empowering people. She aims to create tools that analysts want to use, not have to use, combining efficiency with empathy. Her leadership reflects the qualities shaping the future of the equipment finance industry: curiosity, collaboration and a commitment to meaningful impact.
“My advice is to let passion, empathy and curiosity drive your work. Be open to learn and adapt while staying true to yourself in order to drive meaningful change. More than technology, it is the new faces with fresh perspectives and innovative ideas that make the future of the industry look bright and promising!”
