Jodi L. Hoskins is a trail-blazing figure in the public accounting space, with a litany of experience covering sales tax, auditing and financial statement preparation, all of which is underpinned by her focus on improving the financial health and well-being of individuals and businesses. She laid the groundwork for her career by working as an intern at ECS Financial Services, rising through the ranks and eventually making Partner. No matter the experience, Hoskins understands the responsibilities and rises to the occasion with leadership and unmatched initiative. Her rise to prominence in ECS is a testament to the world of possibilities still readily available to ambitious accountants everywhere.
Hoskins is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the staff on her team, training and onboarding new staff accountants, streamlining internal processes and forging robust relationships with tentpole clients. As a Partner, Hoskins is also responsible for developing and implementing key strategic decisions that steer the firm’s short- and long-term growth. Both Hoskins’ drive and her leadership style stem from watching others grow and become self-starters in their respective roles, whether through mentorship or advocating for more inclusive leadership opportunities for team members who want to take on greater responsibilities.
“Jodi’s gift for truly listening turns every conversation into a launchpad for new ideas and change,” says Sarah Walter, Manager at ECS. “For our customers, Jodi takes a partnership-first approach, listening to their challenges and turning that into a unique, focused solution. Jodi’s empathetic collaboration drives both customer success and ECS’s reputation as a trusted industry partner.”
Hoskins’ approach to problem-solving hasn’t just led to high client satisfaction, but also workplace morale and corporate culture that earned ECS the “Best Place to Work in Illinois” award in 2025. Thanks to her input, the organization restructured its values and collaborative structure, encouraging each employee to recognize their purpose and individual skills in the firm.
Hoskins attributes a significant amount of her success and the leadership that she has assumed since starting at ECS to her commitment to fostering a workplace culture that is both positive and inclusive — one where individuals feel empowered to grow and contribute. Her leadership is built on a foundation of trust, transparency and respect for every voice in the room.
Outside of her storied accomplishments at ECS, Hoskins also dedicates herself to philanthropic and volunteer work, showcasing that her commitment to selfless service and fostering growth is not relegated to her role at ECS. Hoskins is the former president of her local PTA chapter and currently sits on the school board, all while also volunteering for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Through all her roles and responsibilities, Hoskins’ passion for community service and inspiring others to realize their full potential remains utterly unchanged. Whether making monumental improvements to the financial status of both businesses and individual customers or helping children live out their dreams, her achievements serve as a shining example of the indelible impact that just one person can make on the lives of so many others.
“Don’t underestimate the value of your voice. Speak up in meetings, ask questions and share your ideas. Confidence doesn’t mean having all the answers; it means trusting that your perspective matters.”
