George Parker has been a driving force in advancing inclusion within the equipment finance industry. As the President and founder of the Black Equipment Finance Network (BEFN), Parker launched the first organization dedicated to expanding access, opportunity and visibility for Black professionals in the field. Through his leadership, BEFN has awarded scholarships to business students at HBCUs, built connections between rising talent and seasoned leaders and encouraged collaboration that ensures underrepresented voices are heard.
At VenSource Capital, George carries that same commitment forward — prioritizing inclusive deal sourcing and mentoring first-generation professionals. For him, inclusion isn’t just about representation, it’s about creating lasting change. He measures progress not only in scholarships, mentorships and leadership opportunities, but also in the cultural shifts that happen when allyship turns into action and inclusion becomes part of the way business grows and innovates.
