John Boettigheimer, president of Centra Funding, has built his career around finding practical ways to modernize equipment financing. In 2008, he introduced digital contracts and electronic signatures years before they became standard. Skeptics doubted the idea, but when COVID made electronic documents essential, Centra was already years ahead.
That forward thinking mindset continues today. Under Boettigheimer’s leadership, Centra has expanded its capabilities, strengthened capital relationships and, in 2026, closed a new $175 million credit facility with Capital One, increasing its capacity to support businesses nationwide.
“What keeps me motivated is finding better ways to help businesses get the equipment they need to grow,” Boettigheimer says.
Boettigheimer has also preserved Centra’s family business culture, encouraging employees to challenge existing processes and share ideas that drive innovation.
