Phill DiCenso, project manager and co-chair of U.S. social impact at Alfa, has always felt called to help children facing hardship, whether illness, instability at home or a lack of opportunity. Through his involvement with Ronald McDonald House Detroit, he has learned that supporting the family is how you truly support the child overall.
“Building a culture where people feel excited to give back, not obligated to, is extremely important to me,” DiCenso says. “It transforms a company into a community inspired by shared purpose beyond the bottom line.”
DiCenso’s board work has reinforced his belief in clear expectations, shared goals and accountability, lessons he carries directly into his professional leadership. He believes teams are at their best when people understand the mission and feel empowered to make an impact.
