Jun Ohta, director president (representative executive officer) and group CEO of Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, passed away on Nov. 25 at the age of 65. Toru Nakashima, deputy president and executive officer (representative executive officer) for SMFG, has taken over Ohta’s duties until SMFG selects a permanent successor.
