The Black Equipment Finance Network (BEFN) officially kicked off the BEFN Rising Leaders Scholarship program. The network’s scholarship team is being led by Will Dalton of OY6 Capital.
This year, BEFN will award two scholarships of $5,000 each to outstanding undergraduate or graduate students attending HBCUs and select predominantly black institutions who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership potential and an interest in business, finance, technology or related fields.
The application is now live. The application deadline is April 15, 2026.
These scholarships are made possible through BEFN membership dues, generous sponsor support and the network’s collaboration with the NEFA Chris Walker Fund, which is underwriting one of the two awards.
“We’re excited to see the applicants this inaugural cycle brings forward,” George Parker, president of BEFN, wrote.
