Global law firm Clyde appointed Elizabeth Evans as partner in its New York office. Evans represents the latest expansion of Clyde’s global aviation practice group, joining the firm from K & L Gates.
Evans has over 30 years of experience in the fields of aviation, project, transportation and aerospace finance. She has worked on a variety of complex structured finance transactions and her experience includes leveraged leasing, syndicated loan facilities and private and public offerings of debt and equity.
Clyde’s aviation practice has grown significantly in the last few years through the hires of partners Ken Quinn in Washington, D.C., Terence Liew in Singapore and Stuart Miller in Hong Kong. The firm has further expanded its non-insurance aviation offerings with the hire of a 12-strong aviation finance legal team led by partner Norman Fraser in London and the more recent addition of aviation finance and leasing partner Jahnavi Ramachandran in London.
“Over the past few years Clyde & Co’s global aviation offering to clients has grown from strength to strength,” Kevin Sutherland, partner and chair of Clyde’s global aviation practice group, said. “Liz’s broad range of experience in aviation finance transactions, and her stellar track record, will broaden our offering to clients even further. We really look forward to welcoming her to the firm.”
“I was drawn to Clyde & Co’s impeccable reputation as a trusted advisor in the fields of aviation and aerospace in North America and globally,” Evans said. “I look forward to collaborating with my new colleagues across the world.”
