Elevex Capital hired Shari Williams as chief risk officer. In this role, Williams will lead Elevex’s credit policy, portfolio management and capital markets strategy.
Williams brings more than 30 years of financial services experience, having held executive leadership roles in risk and portfolio management at GE Capital, Sumitomo Mitsui Leasing and Finance and Nexseer Capital, where she served as chief risk officer and head of capital markets. Most recently, she was the chief risk officer at SLR Equipment Finance.
A graduate of Fairfield University with both a B.A. in economics and philosophy and an M.B.A. in finance, Williams is actively involved with the Charles F. Dolan School of Business as a member of the Finance Advisory Council and vice president of the Alumni Board of Directors. She also serves on the board of trustees for the Equipment Leasing and Finance Foundation (ELFF) and contributes to its Academic Outreach Committee and Scholarship Review Subcommittee. In 2023, Monitor named her one of the Top Women in Equipment Finance.
