Fleet Advantage, an innovator in specialty financing, fleet data analytics, asset performance services and life cycle cost management, released its latest logistics industry-specific Truck Reliability and Usage Safety Tracker (TRUST) Safety Index.
The TRUST Safety Index offers critical, data-driven insights into CSA performance, maintenance trends and operational risk exposure, while offering benchmarking data against national safety standards and private fleets. In an industry increasingly challenged by rising costs, tightening regulatory scrutiny and complex network demands, the index is designed to empower business leaders to move beyond reactive management. By delivering actionable analytics on safety metrics, it enables logistics providers to optimize fleet performance, enhance long-term risk reduction strategies and maintain a competitive edge in an increasingly volatile transportation landscape.
According to the latest TRUST Safety Index findings, the top logistics organizations achieved an average ISS score of 34.17, significantly outperforming the FMCSA intervention threshold of 65 and surpassing the broader private fleet benchmark average of 46.33.
In addition, the data for top logistics organizations revealed:
- Unsafe Driving BASIC scores averaged 18.08, compared to the national intervention threshold of 65
- Hours-of-Service BASIC scores averaged 41.91, below the national intervention threshold of 65
- Total out-of-service inspection percentages measured 9.28%, versus the national average of 20.18%, which has increased compared to last year’s benchmark, underscoring a broader deterioration in national fleet compliance performance
