Webster Bank added Michael Gebicki as senior managing director, sponsor finance. In his role, Gebicki will originate and execute middle market private equity backed transactions for Webster Bank’s sponsor finance general industries team. He will be based in Stamford and reports to Ross Catlin, senior managing director, sponsor finance at Webster Bank.

Gebicki has over 30 years of experience in origination, underwriting and capital raising. Most recently, he was a managing director at Sentinel Capital Partners, where he ran principal investing for the firm’s junior capital business. Prior to that, he was a founding member of Bank of Ireland U.S. leveraged finance group, where he originated senior and junior financings for private equity clients. He began his career at JP Morgan Securities’ media, technology and telecom group, where he was involved with various capital raising and advisory mandates.
Gebicki graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a BBA in finance and economics and he earned his MBA from the NYU’s Stern School of Business.
