Genesis Bank hired Daniel Morales as senior vice president, relationship manager. Morales, who brings thirty years of Southern California banking experience, is responsible for originating, structuring and managing full commercial banking relationships with small to mid-sized businesses and their owners. His responsibilities span the bank’s commercial and industrial, owner-occupied commercial real estate and SBA lending, together with the commercial business operating deposit accounts and treasury cash management services and solutions that anchor each client relationship.

Morales joins Genesis from BMO Bank, where he served as vice president, commercial relationship manager in Orange County, developing and managing commercial relationships with companies generating $10 million to $50 million in annual revenues. After starting his banking career 30 years ago at Wells Fargo Bank, Morales has held senior relationship management and sales leadership roles at Wachovia Bank, California Bank & Trust, and Banc of California. Throughout his career, he has been recognized repeatedly for exceeding growth expectations across loans, deposits and fee income generation, both at the local and national scale. He is a U.S. Navy veteran, having served ten years, including during the Gulf War, before beginning his banking career.
