Don Walker, longtime executive at Arvest Bank, lost his battle with cancer, according to a LinkedIn post from Paul Getling, senior director of Northwest Arkansas engagement, advancement division of the University of Central Arkansas.
“Don Walker exemplified the values that define Arvest Bank,” Kevin Sabin, chairman and CEO of Arvest Bank, said in a Talk Business & Politics article about Walker’s passing. “His unwavering commitment to his colleagues, customers and community left a lasting mark on all who had the privilege of working with him. He was a great friend to so many of us, and he will be deeply missed.”
Gatling shared a quote from Walker in his LinkedIn post: “We’ve built an extraordinarily successful company; a large company. I am so proud of the people who are leading it, and I will enjoy watching them continue to develop this company. That’s what I will reminisce about and be proud of.”
