Dominic Janney, president of Canon Financial Services (CFS), will deliver the keynote address at the Certification Ceremony for STRIPES Leadership Program on Thursday, April 16, 2026 in Philadelphia. The event will mark the graduation of the Program’s 8th cohort of equipment finance leaders.
“Dominic exemplifies exceptional leadership so we are honored he will be addressing our STRIPES graduates,” Lisa Rafter, founder and CEO of STRIPES, said. “He leads with clarity, conviction and impact, and he brings a perspective that challenges leaders to think bigger about the future and what’s possible. He understands how to lead through change, drive results and elevate those around him. I know his message will inspire our graduates to leverage the Program and embrace what’s next with confidence while continuing to exploit their potential as the future leaders of our industry.”
Drawing on his own leadership philosophy, Janney will speak to graduates about the qualities that define truly effective leaders in today’s equipment finance industry with an emphasis on authenticity, empathy and a compelling vision. Reflecting the mission at the heart of STRIPES Leadership Program, which was created to transform high-potential individuals into results-driven leaders who will prepare the industry for the challenges and opportunities of the future, Janney’s remarks will set a powerful tone for the ceremony.
“The equipment finance industry has extraordinary potential, as it touches virtually every sector of the economy and plays a vital role in helping businesses grow, innovate and thrive,” Janney said. “As that potential continues to expand, so does the responsibility that falls on the shoulders of those who lead within it. The future of this industry will be shaped by leaders who lead with integrity, inspire those around them and build cultures where people and performance can flourish together. That is exactly what STRIPES is developing, and I am thrilled to attend the Certification Ceremony to celebrate this remarkable group of graduates.”
Janney brings more than 30 years of experience leading both startup and established organizations through cycles of rapid growth, complex acquisitions and large-scale digital transformations. Since joining CFS in 2009, he has held multiple leadership roles across sales and servicing, consistently driving business development, enhancing client retention and elevating operational performance to meet the evolving needs of the industry. He assumed the role of president in 2022.
In addition to his leadership at CFS, Janney serves on the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association (ELFA) board of directors, is a member of the Canon U.S.A. executive leadership team and is an active advocate for industry policy on Capitol Hill. He is also committed to building strong organizational cultures and advancing community impact, with a focus on diversity, inclusion and corporate social responsibility.
Janney joins a distinguished group of industry leaders who have delivered keynotes at STRIPES Certification Ceremonies, including Nancy Robles, president and CEO of Eastern Funding; Gina Rigsby, head of commercial operations at DLL; René Paradis, president and chief operating officer of Auxilior Capital Partners; Bill Stephenson, global CEO of PEAC Solutions; Steve Grosso, CEO and vice chairman at Auxilior Capital Partners; Miles Herman, president and chief operating officer at LEAF Commercial Capital; and Marc Paulhus, former president of Citizens Asset Finance and Citizens Bank Rhode Island.
The Certification Ceremony will bring together graduates, their managers, key stakeholders and Lisa Rafter and her STRIPES leadership team, along with business workshop leaders Denis Stypulkoski and Ellen Comeaux. Following the keynote, each graduate will be recognized for fulfilling the Program requirements and then formally certified as a STRIPES leader.
