Monroe Capital, on behalf of its investment funds, led a $60 million class B term loan for 36th Street Capital, a specialty finance company that provides structured lease and loan solutions to large and mid-sized businesses across the U.S. The financing will support 36th Street’s continued origination growth and platform expansion.
“36th Street Capital has built a differentiated platform in essential-use equipment finance, and we are excited to support its next phase of growth,” Kyle Asher, co-head of Monroe Capital’s alternative credit solutions group, said. “Its deep sector expertise, flexible approach to structuring and strong market position make it an excellent fit for Monroe.”
The investment was led by Aaron Levy and Chris Spanel, who focus on equipment finance at Monroe. The team provides debt, forward flow and equity solutions to platforms across the small-, mid- and large-ticket equipment leasing markets.
“We are pleased to welcome Monroe Capital as a financing partner,” Kiran Kapur, CEO of 36th Street, said. “Monroe’s experience in asset-backed and equipment leasing investments, combined with its flexible capital base, makes it an ideal partner as we continue to grow our platform and deliver customized financing solutions to clients nationwide.”
