NationaLease held its 2025 Human Resources Summit at the Warwick Hotel Rittenhouse in Philadelphia, PA on July 14 – 15. Centered on fostering HR skills, leadership and connections, this two-day event gathered professionals in hiring, retention and compliance within the truck leasing and rental industry. Attendees had the opportunity to earn professional development credits through SHRM and HRCI.
Dominic Macrone, human resources director at McMahon Truck Leasing, a NationaLease member, brought the meeting to order before handing over to Dean Vicha, president of NationaLease, who set the stage with his State of the Union address, providing an overview of the year so far and insights into both present objectives and future plans.
Dr. Fiona Jamison, vice president of research and people analytics, people results at Spring International, gave a presentation on recruiting and retaining diesel technicians, followed by an idea session led by Constance Fox, human resources director at Mendon NationaLease. Healthy communication was the next topic of the day with a discussion on strategies for successful workplace dialogues from Donald D. Gamburg of Ogletree Deakins.
After Kelly Kordowski, member services advocate at NationaLease, presented the compensation survey review, Glenn Hebert, president of Cox & Smith Risk Management, covered the crucial subject of workplace safety. The day concluded with Lauren Williams, CEO of Workplace Harmony, and her interactive workshop on adding top talent to organizations.
The second day of the HR Summit was kicked off by Lindsay Mareau, founder of Illumination Strategies, who presented on how teams can thrive on change. Next, Jane Clark, senior vice president of operations at NationaLease, gave her member services update before the meeting wrapped up with the best practices roundtable, which saw attendees share and learn from each other’s real-world experiences.
“The need for experienced, committed HR professionals in truck leasing has never been greater,” Clark said. “By coming together to learn how others are tackling challenges and finding success, our members find new ways to continue building strong, unified teams. We’re so grateful to our members and invited speakers for making this event such a valuable experience.”
The 2026 NationaLease Human Resources Summit will be held July 13 – 14, 2026, at L7 Chicago by Lotte in Chicago, IL.
