Adam Warner, Retired President of Key Equipment Finance, to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award at Converge

Adam Warner, who recently retired from Key Equipment Finance, will receive the Lifetime Achievement award at Converge, Monitor’s groundbreaking two-day conference and workshop plus award ceremony gala.

Lisa Rafter, publisher and CEO of Monitor, announced Warner’s designation at Monitor’s Converge Awards Nominee Livestream on March 6 along with the top four to six nominees in 10 other categories.

Warner, who was nominated by Converge’s award committee, served as the president of Key Equipment Finance since 2009. In this role, he was responsible for all commercial and bank-based equipment lease and finance efforts, as well as equipment finance programs for the technology, water, energy, healthcare, industrial, specialty vehicle and government vertical market segments. Additionally, he oversaw the equipment finance programs for all of the company’s vendor customers, including equipment manufacturers and distributors in the U.S. and Canada, and for the company’s advisory and distribution services unit.

Warner retired from Key Equipment Finance at the end of 2023 after a 22-year tenure. His career with the company included managing the organization’s direct sales, corporate aviation and specialty finance lending organizations. He also led the company’s global vendor operations, which encompassed direct oversight of 65 employees in 16 countries. As part of his global vendor responsibilities, Warner helped Key Equipment Finance establish an analytics and underwriting business presence in India.

Under Warner’s leadership, Key Equipment Finance secured more than $500,000 in resources to fund and establish the KeyBank Business Leadership Program and the KeyBank Summer Bridge Program to provide scholarships and hands-on experiences to students at the University of Colorado-Boulder Leeds School of Business.

Warner’s career saw him serve on the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association’s board of directors for eight years, including his tenure as chairperson of the board from 2013 to 2014. He served on the University of Colorado-Boulder Leeds School of Business board of directors from 2014 to 2023. He has also written articles for the Monitor and participated in Master Talk roundtables with STRIPES Leadership Program.
