Olson Joins Tamarack Technology as Client Success Director

Tamarack Technology, a provider of technology services and artificial intelligence (AI)-based software products designed for the equipment finance industry, hired Mike Olson as its client success director. Olson is tasked with delivering on the company’s commitment to exceptional client service while helping lessors protect their investments, improve business performance and provide customers with access to solutions that enhance operations.

In a new position at Tamarack, Olson will play a critical role in ensuring customers’ satisfaction, retention and growth. By collaborating closely with the product and services teams, Olson will align Tamarack’s offerings with client needs, maximizing the value of company partnerships. Additionally, he will provide strategic advisory support, helping clients navigate challenges and identify opportunities that enhance their overall experience with Tamarack.

His expertise will help us deliver targeted solutions and develop strategies that drive our clients’ success. This partnership approach, centered around joint success and value creation, will ensure that we not only meet our clients’ immediate needs but also contribute significantly to their long-term goals.”

Olson brings extensive industry experience and a proven track record in client management and technology implementation. During his 26-year tenure at Wells Fargo, with a decade on the equipment finance team, he held positions of increasing responsibility. In his most recent position as the transformation leader in the wholesale banking division (a senior-vice-president-level role), Olson led a strategic program focused on creating a streamlined, timely and satisfactory client onboarding experience. Elements of this program included the introduction of a new client onboarding platform used across the enterprise, development of a digital client-facing experience, eSignature enablement and creation of a proprietary platform and approach to ensure proper authorizations to facilitate transactions in that space.

At Wells Fargo, Olson also served as head of commercial banking information strategies and tools and oversaw the implementation of critical business systems. In this role, he led a group of professionals to meet the business process, project management, technology, data and reporting needs of the commercial banking division of Wells Fargo. Additionally, he held several roles where he oversaw the management and implementation of critical business systems.

Olson joined Wells Fargo in 1998 as a systems engineer, following graduation from the University of St. Thomas with a bachelor’s degree in business. He also has an MBA from the University of Minnesota – Carlson School of Management. A resident of Eagan, Minn., Olson is active in youth sports programs, serving the Eagan Hockey Association as head coach and volunteering with the Minneapolis DinoMights program.
