Spirit Airlines is seeking new financing from creditors and an exchange that would extend its current debt; otherwise, the company would be forced into bankruptcy, a Bloomberg report says.
People familiar with the matter say the air carrier has been in talks with bondholders for months to restructure the debt and avoid bankruptcy, but all efforts thus far have failed.
