Summit Funding Group added Katie Sumner as vice president of business development. In this role, Sumner will be responsible for originating and structuring equipment financing solutions for middle-market clients across Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky and Michigan, serving a diverse range of industries.
Sumner brings over 25 years of experience in the finance industry, with the past seven years dedicated specifically to equipment leasing, and is a current ELFA membership committee member. Prior to joining Summit, she held key roles at PNC and Huntington, where she worked closely with clients to develop customized financing strategies that supported their operational and growth objectives.
With a deep understanding of both traditional banking and specialized equipment finance, Sumner has developed a reputation for building strong relationships and delivering creative, results-driven solutions.
A longtime resident of Northern Kentucky, Sumner lives in Union with her husband and two college age sons. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, cooking, spending time with her family and exploring new wines.
