Tiger Commercial & Industrial (C&I) has completed the sale of high-precision machinery and equipment (M&E) from Lor-Van Manufacturing and Apex Machining, generating recoveries for the benefit of secured creditors, lessors and other stakeholders.
Valued at approximately $6 million, the monetized assets stored in Santa Clara ranged from machining, fabrication and inspection M&E to warehouse support equipment, raw materials and vehicles. The offering included CNC machining centers, automated pallet systems, CNC lathes, fiber laser cutting equipment, RoboDrills and CMM inspection systems.
The sale featured manufacturers such as Makino, Yasda Precision Tools, Mori Seiki, Haas, Fanuc, Amada, Kitamura, Haeger, Kaeser and Mitutoyo. Among the most significant assets was a Makino automated machining cell (two A51NX horizontal machining centers), which sold for more than $600,000.
“Our team was on the ground identifying, cataloging and segregating machinery and equipment with multiple ownership and creditor interests, while working closely with legal counsel to coordinate the assets into a single sale,” Jonathan Holiday, senior director of Tiger C&I, a division of Tiger Group, said. “We leveraged Tiger’s proprietary database of qualified buyers in this space to quickly connect them with highly specialized equipment that met their needs. The coordinated approach allowed us to efficiently manage a complex disposition while maximizing recoveries across this industrial plant.”
