Monitor successfully hosted its Converge Virtual Experience: Credit & Risk on March 26, bringing together credit and risk professionals from across the equipment finance industry for a five-hour, hands-on working session focused on today’s most pressing challenges.
Designed intentionally as a working session, not a traditional virtual event, Converge engaged participants in active discussion, peer collaboration and practical problem-solving across key areas shaping credit performance and portfolio strategy.
The event was hosted by Eric McGriff, chief risk officer at 36th Street Capital, and Lou Maslowe, chief risk officer at DLL, who guided participants through the day’s discussions and working sessions.
An opening perspective was delivered by Cam Krueger, CEO of Krueger & Krueger, who grounded the session in the five challenges credit leaders are navigating today.
Breakout sessions were facilitated by a group of experienced industry leaders, including:
- Mic Mount, SVP, Credit Executive, U.S. Bank
- Scott Eshleman, Chief Risk Officer, Dext Capital
- Shari Williams, Chief Risk Officer, Elevex Capital
- Doug Sylvia, Chief Risk Officer & Co-Founder, Capteris Capital
- Dominic Napolitano, EVP, Chief Risk Officer, Mitsubishi HC Capital America
Throughout the event, attendees worked through structured breakout sessions centered on critical industry topics, including:
- AI and automation in underwriting
- Fraud exposure and data integrity in digital origination
- Portfolio concentration risk
- Credit and sales alignment
- Talent gaps and operational strain
Using a guided framework of “Today, Perfect State, Middle Ground,” participants moved beyond surface-level discussion to define current realities, envision ideal future states and identify actionable strategies that can be implemented within the next 12 to 24 months.
The insights and outputs generated during these sessions will form the foundation of the 2026 Credit & Risk Playbook, sponsored by Solifi, a comprehensive resource designed to help organizations translate discussion into action.
“The goal of Converge is not just to create conversation, but to create something usable,” Lisa Rafter, publisher of Monitor, said. “This Playbook reflects the collective thinking of leaders who are actively navigating these challenges, and it’s built to be applied.”
Converge Virtual Experience is part of Monitor’s broader initiative to create industry experiences that prioritize engagement, collaboration, and actionable outcomes over passive content consumption, and was made possible through the support of sponsors including Solifi, Northteq, Acquis and 1st Source Bank.
