Mitsui Rail Capital announced that Daniel Penovich was named president and Chris Gerber was promoted from director of Sales and Marketing to vice president of Sales and Marketing. Both MRC executives have extensive experience with MRC as well in the railroad and railroad leasing business.

Penovich joined MRC in 2010 as vice president of Sales and Marketing, and over the last four years contributed significantly to the company’s revenue growth, sales effectiveness and improved asset utilization.

Gerber, with thirty years of experience in the rail industry, has served successfully at MRC since 2012 in sales, earning this promotion to vice president, Sales and Marketing. His efforts and industry experience helped MRC in improving its asset portfolio and in implementing its new leasing strategy.

Chicago-based Mitsui Rail Capital is a railcar leasing company, and a fleet management and maintenance services provider to the North American transport market.
