GSG Energy Finance said it added Robert Aldridge as executive vice president of Sales and Business Development.

“Rob brings an enormous amount of experience and leadership,” said Andrew A. Bender, chief executive officer of GSG. “We have built a strong base with our Energy Finance Division and we are looking to have Rob take our team to the next level.” GSG Energy Finance focuses on four key markets: Renewable Energy Projects, LED Lighting Retrofits, Energy Efficiency Upgrades and Building Management Systems.

“Financing renewable energy and energy efficiency projects can get complicated, especially in light of the tax and other financial incentives involved. GSG Energy Finance is at the forefront of creating new financial products to support these industries,” said Aldridge. “With few exceptions, if a project either produces energy or saves it, we can offer financing alternatives. As an independent with access to private capital, GSG’s flexibility allows us develop creative structures to meet customer’s needs”.

GSG Energy Finance offers both finance and operating leases to help businesses achieve lower energy costs with little or no up-front investment or negative cash flow. In addition to leases, GSG also may be able to offer ‘shared energy savings’ and ‘power purchase agreement’ type financing alternatives. Aldridge has over 25 years of experience in the equipment finance industry with a focus in business development and sales management. Most recently, Aldridge has distinguished himself in the energy finance arena both domestically and overseas. Before joining GSG Energy Finance, he served as EVP at CalcoGreen and prior to that as European sales director for XZERES Wind. In addition, Aldridge held senior management roles with Sofame Technologies, Bombardier Capital and Sun Data.
