Volvo Group reported that during Q2/14, its global truck deliveries of 53,223 were up 2% from 51,984 in Q2/13. Year-to-date global figures increased 34% from 20,910 in 2013 to 27,984 in 2014. North American truck deliveries of 14,983 marked a 13% increase over the same period a year ago, when deliveries totaled 13,203. Year-to-date, Volvo Group North American truck deliveries were 101,068, up 12% from the same period a year ago, at 90,400.

Volvo said its Mack brand North American truck deliveries in Q2/14 were 6,073, a 9% increase from 5,589 in the same period a year ago. Year-to-date, Mack Truck deliveries totaled 11,365, a 24% increase versus 9,147 in the same period in 2013.

The company noted that its Volvo brand North American truck deliveries in Q2/14 were 8,837, up 17% from 7,534 in Q2/13. Year-to-date, Volvo brand truck deliveries totaled 16,522, up 44% from 11,507 in the same period in 2013.
