Monitor Releases 2014 Industry Sector Issue



Monitor has released its 2014 industry sector edition. Despite continued cautious optimism among industry segment leaders, things are looking up as we head into 2015.

Inside the issue, NBAA’s Ed Bolen to discuss the current state of the business aviation industry, followed by Teal Group’s Richard Aboulafia, who, in a Q&A with Monitor, is encouraged by business jet growth, but is wary due to being “burned before.”

Steve Latin-Kasper of the NTEA says despite a growth rate decline from 2012 to 2013, and the resulting trepidation in the first half of the year, 2015 is shaping up to be a positive perfect storm for the U.S. commercial truck and truck equipment industry. Dan Clark and John Conkin of GE Transportation Finance also shared their outlook for the road ahead while tying in GE’s 40-year presence in the marketplace.

AED’s Christian Klein and Wells Fargo Equipment Finance’s John Crum offer updates in the construction industry, while Morrison & Foerster Partner William S. Veatch closes the industry segment overviews with the first of two installments centered on the world of software financing.

Regular Monitor writers Linda Kester, Bill Bosco and Ken Weinberg round out the issue with important lessons in leasing sales, synthetic leasing and titled vehicles, respectively
