Verdant Commercial Capital Adds Zeller as Syndicator

Verdant Commercial Capital hired Joel Zeller as capital markets relationship manager. He will work with the Verdant vendor sales team to source on and off balance sheet funding for some of Verdant’s transactions.

Zeller has more than 15 years of experience with several Fortune 500 companies in sales, credit, underwriting and management in commercial finance.

“We are thrilled to add Joel to the Verdant team,” John Merritt, executive vice president of capital markets at Verdant Commercial Capital, said. “Joel’s deep background in transaction structuring, risk management and pricing, coupled with his experience in the syndication markets, will further enhance Verdant’s ability to continue to say ‘yes’ to our vendor partners through our well-established multi-funder model.”

Zeller most recently was the credit manager of the industrial equipment division of ENGS Commercial Finance, where he was responsible for the overall soundness of a $300 million industrial portfolio.

“I am very excited to join the Verdant team,” Zeller said. “I see abundant opportunity for me to add significant value to our vendor partners by leveraging my credit experience in this syndication role. I believe that our dynamic ability to be agile in the market will help me expand and deepen lender relationships in a way that will accelerate the growth of the company.”

Verdant Commercial Capital is an independent commercial equipment finance company that is backed by a family-held private investment firm.
