Falcon National Bank recently hired Dave McCarthy as vice president and sales and syndication manager of its equipment finance division. McCarthy’s focus will be on growing program volumes and ensuring the division’s syndication arm acts to maintain an appropriately balanced portfolio.
“I am excited to be a part of the next stage of Falcon’s growth,” McCarthy said. “I look forward to working with the team to leverage Falcon’s rich history of superior customer experience and further develop our abilities to enable sustainable growth and portfolio diversity across different markets.”
Most recently, McCarthy led the Key Government Finance federal division, achieving solid profitable growth for five years until the dissolution of the team by the bank.
“Dave brings 25 years of experience in the leasing industry running a variety of finance programs,” Amy Gross, senior vice president and head of Falcon Equipment Finance, said. “I look forward to working with him as he applies his small ticket leasing and leadership experience to grow and expand vendor relationships while maintaining a high-quality portfolio.”
Previously, McCarthy led vendor and government financing programs at GE Capital and subsequently worked as part of the syndication team for IBM Global Financing, where he was recognized as the “Best of IBM” in 2012 and was promoted to lead the federal finance team.
McCarthy began his career as a U.S. Naval officer, serving as a supply officer and gun director on the USS Wisconsin during the First Persian Gulf War. He did subsequent tours with the Aviation Supply Office as the weapons systems manager for trainer aircraft and served abroad in Naples, Italy.
