Aviation Capital Group (ACG), the commercial aircraft leasing subsidiary of Pacific Life Insurance, promoted James A. Zembrzuski to senior vice president and general counsel. In this role, Zembrzuski will lead ACG’s legal department and serve as a member of the senior leadership team.
Zembrzuski joined ACG in February 2015 serving as a vice president in the legal department. Prior to joining ACG, Zembrzuski worked as in-house counsel at International Lease Finance in its Los Angeles and Amsterdam offices. In that role, he advised the company in connection with a wide variety of aircraft finance and leasing matters, including operating lease transactions, secured debt financings and asset-backed securitizations.
Previously, he was a senior associate in the Aircraft Finance practice at the law firm of Fulbright & Jaworski in New York. Zembrzuski began his career as a revenue management analyst at US Airways in Arlington, VA.
“Jim is an integral part of ACG and has effectively served as the de facto interim general counsel for ACG during most of 2016,” said Khanh T. Tran, CEO of ACG.
Aviation Capital Group is an aircraft asset manager with approximately 395 owned, managed and committed aircraft.
