Sentry Financial expanded its equipment leasing sales team by adding Stephen Nowak as a managing director, Mike Tursi as a director and Johnny Bebbington as vice president of funding for the equipment finance division.
“We are very excited to add Steve, Mike and Johnny to our team. Each brings a new dimension of skill and experience to Sentry,” Jonathan Ruga, co-founder and CEO of Sentry Financial, said.
“One of our strategic initiatives in 2021 is increasing our presence in specific verticals, and these three talented individuals will help us achieve that,” Scott Young, co-founder and COO of Sentry Financial, said.
Nowak spent the last 14 years at Cisco Capital after 12 years at GE Capital.
Tursi spent the past seven years at LEAF Commercial Capital as a syndications analyst and then national accounts manager, managing relationships with banks, independent lessors and brokers. Prior to LEAF, Tursi was with JPMorgan Chase.
Bebbington worked for Wellington Management in London for the past four years, focusing on foreign exchange hedging and cash management.
Nowak will focus on originating lease transactions and programs in collaboration with independents and captives. Tursi will concentrate primarily on originating transactions directly with customers but will also originate in collaboration with independents and captives. Bebbington will focus on expanding Sentry’s funding consortium.
Nowak and Tursi will be based in Sentry’s satellite offices in Chicago and Philadelphia, respectively, and Bebbington will be located at Sentry’s headquarters in Salt Lake City.
