Aviation Finance Company Limited (AFC) has completed a predelivery payment financing for a Boeing 787-8 aircraft expected to be delivered to Air Europa in 2017.
AFC arranged funding for 100% of the PDP requirement and completed the transaction in less than 30 days to accommodate tight timelines by leveraging AFC’s access to the capital markets.
“AFC’s capital markets operations create new and exciting avenues for financing fleets of new aircraft,” said Juan Jose Hidalgo, president of Globalia, the parent company of Air Europa. “Our 787 fleet is core to our operation and key to our growth. This financing directly supports our critical initiatives.”
“AFC is proud to be a strategic source of financing for airlines and the leasing community by working collaboratively with clients and investors to efficiently raise and deploy capital,” said Douglas Brennan, CEO of AFC. “Our clients are in the business of operating the world’s best aircraft and the AFC team works tirelessly to support the financial side of those operations.”
