AirAsia Receives $1B Offer for Leasing Company



According to Bloomberg, AirAisa CEO Tony Fernandes said that the company received an offer valued at roughly $1 billion for its aircraft-leasing business.

Fernandes told Bloomberg that the airline plans on divesting the unit, called Asia Aviation Capital, “at some point.”

Bloomberg reported that this announcement led to a 14-month high for shares of AirAsia in Kuala Lumpur trading.
