Apollo Aviation Will Gain $640MM through 35 Aircraft Securitization



The Irish Times reported that Apollo Aviation will gain $640 million by securitizing 35 aircraft leased to carriers that include American Airlines and Virgin.

According to the Times, Apollo Aviation is an Irish-based aircraft finance company which will establish Apollo Aviation Securitization Equity Trust 2016-2 in order to borrow the $640 million needed to purchase 35 aircraft from the company and third parties.

The Times noted that this is Apollo’s third securitization since its founding in 2002.
