Blue Chip Leasing Acquires Sales Agency

Blue Chip Leasing said it purchased Blue Chip Leasing Atlantic, a sales agency founded by Larry Hachey, to expand its direct sales force. Blue Chip will take over the sales offices in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, including sales and support staff.

Hachey will become the vice president of sales and marketing for Blue Chip Leasing. In a related senior management change, Ramon Chait will become vice president of broker services, with exclusive focus on building the broker side of the business.

Hachey has worked in senior positions in the equipment leasing industry since 1988. He has a long history of building and leading successful sales teams for his own and other companies. Hachey is also a leader in his community and is currently serving as chairman of the Saint John Board of Trade as well as an executive member of the University of New Brunswick Board of Governors.

Daniel Wittlin, president & CEO of Blue Chip and Enable Capital stated, “The timing was right, Larry has done a great job of building out a direct sales force in the Atlantic and added significant volume to our operations. We have the capacity with both our funding partners and our staff to grow the businesses. We are fortunate to have someone with Larry’s knowledge of our industry, having run and worked for large lessors, coupled with his ability to build and manage sales teams.”

Chait has been an integral part of growing the broker network and inside sales. “Ramon’s skill set is perfectly aligned with the needs of the broker market. This change will allow him to concentrate on this important segment of our business,” said Murray Derraugh, chief operating officer.
