Boeing, Gulfstream, Bombardier Biz Jets Compete for Military Contract

According to the Seattle Times, Boeing’s Renton-built 737 jet, Gulfstream’s G550 and the Bombardier Global 6000 business jet are competing for a $6.9 billion special mission contract.

The Times said that Boeing is hoping to get the Air Force to replace more than 100 special mission aircraft with the 737, as air forces continue to increase usage of business jets for special missions.
