CIT Chief Data Officer Receives Computerworld Technology Award

BJ Fesq, chief architect and chief data officer of information technology for CIT, has been selected as a recipient of Computerworld’s 2016 Premier 100 Technology Award.

“BJ’s deep business and technical acumen have been invaluable to CIT,” said Stacey Goodman, executive vice president and chief information officer of CIT. “He continues to lead strategic efforts to update CIT’s technology platform through the use of innovative capabilities in areas including data virtualization and data management.”

The award recognizes Fesq for his work to enhance CIT’s data management to comply with new regulatory requirements that came into effect as a result of CIT’s acquisition of OneWest Bank.

“I am grateful to be part of this prestigious list of honorees. None of these achievements would have been possible without the outstanding work of my team and the strong strategic direction established by CIT’s leadership,” said Fesq. “This award recognizes the accomplishments of our entire team as we strengthen our IT platform to support the company’s business objectives.”
