Clarus Capital hired Doug Slagle as a director for its direct investment origination group. In this role, Slagle will focus on acquiring new clients, expanding existing client partnerships and generating asset-secured financing opportunities with companies across a variety of industries. Slagle will be based in Utah and will report to Matt Worman, head of direct investment origination at Clarus Capital.

Slagle has more than 20 years of experience sourcing and structuring equipment financings for clients across the United States. Prior to joining Clarus Capital, he was a vice president at LendingClub Bank, where he was responsible for new business development opportunities. Previously, Slagle worked in the equipment finance groups at People’s Utah Bancorp and VFI.
