Equipment finance industry leader Jennifer Fanz, country sales manager for healthcare at DLL, will lead a Master Talk titled Leadership Presence – The Human Skill Combining Confidence and Gravitas for STRIPES Leadership Program, the professional and personal leadership development program created in partnership with Monitor and designed to challenge and inspire best-in-class leaders within the equipment finance industry.

This Master Talk will explore whether leadership is an inherent or learned trait. “Presence” is at the center of everything we do. It determines how we handle stressful situations and plays a huge role in how we are received by others. Fanz will discuss common pitfalls to avoid, reveal small steps that can be implemented immediately and address improvements in communication, both verbal and non-verbal, and ways to build trust through conviction and being true to yourself.

“In my 25-year career, I have most certainly stumbled and sometimes even tripped. But I did not stop. I honestly listened to the feedback, got real with my presence (or lack of) and thoughtfully adjusted how I showed up. And I made sure that consistency became key,” Fanz said.

Fanz is an experienced sales leader with demonstrated success in the financial services industry. She is well versed in sales, strategic planning, business development, team leadership, leadership development, sales management and general management. She also devotes some of her time as a certified facilitator for DLL’s Commercial Academy and is passionate about her role as a mentor and coach within the organization.

Fanz earned her Bachelor of Science degree with a focus in Management from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey-Camden, and she has been part of the DLL team since April 2000. Fanz is an active member of the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association, with prior service on the association’s Emerging Talent Advisory Council. She currently serves as chair of the ELFA’s Women’s Council and has served as sub-committee chair for the Women’s Leadership Forum for the past three years. Fanz also helped launch the DLL US (Wayne, PA) chapter for the Network of Women, served as founding chair and continues to sponsor and lead DLL’s diversity, equity and inclusion initiative.
