Transport Topics reported U.S. Class 8 retail sales in February fell below 16,000 units down 11% from a year earlier, as most truck makers saw declines while inventories remained high and favorable deals were increasingly possible.

Citing data from WardsAuto.com, Transport Topics said sales slipped to 15,876 trucks, down 10.9% compared with 17,811 in 2014, the lowest monthly total since February 2014.
