The Financial Times reported that Airbus will begin restructuring efforts in October due to A380 superjumbo losses and other costly aircraft program delays.
According to the Times, the restructuring plan, once finalized, may result in a loss of jobs while also providing more control of the civil aerospace division to the Tom Enders, Airbus CEO.
The Times noted that in addition to the A380 superjumbo losses, Airbus has also suffered weak helicopter sales after a recent crash involving one of its most popular models.
