Fortune and Great Place to Work Name First American a Best Workplace in Financial Services/Insurance



Fortune and Great Place to Work named First American Equipment Finance one of the Best Workplaces in Financial Services and Insurance. This is First American’s fifth time being named to this list. First American placed sixth in the small and medium category this year.

The award is based on an analysis of survey responses from more than 840,000 employees across the U.S. In the survey, 98% of First American employees said the company is a great place to work, which was 39 points higher than the average U.S. company.

Great Place to Work is a company culture award that selects winners based on how fairly employees are treated. Companies are assessed on how well they are creating a great employee experience that cuts across race, gender, age, disability status, or any aspect of who employees are or what their roles are.

“I am grateful for our dedicated colleagues who have made us a part of this recognition for the past five years,” Alan Sikora, CEO of First American Equipment Finance, said. “Our people push our business and workplace to new heights every day through their passion, knowledge and creativity. I appreciate them for earning this incredible honor.”

Over the past five years, First American’s new business volume has grown from $414 million in 2015 to $1.48 billion in 2020. During this time, the company created more than 100 new positions at its Rochester, NY, headquarters.
